  • The study of coins is called numismatics. numerous gold, silver, copper and lead coins have been found by the historians. Many coins contain legends and inscriptions revealing details about the names of rulers and the period of their reign. Our knowledge of the kushan, Gupta, bactrian, Indo-greek and indo-parthian dynasties rests chiefly on conclusions drawn from the study of coins.

सिक्के क्या है?

  • सिक्कों के अध्ययन को संख्यात्मकता कहा जाता है। कई सोने, चांदी, तांबे और सीसे के सिक्के इतिहासकारों को मिले हैं। कई सिक्कों में शासकों के नाम और उनके शासन की अवधि के बारे में विवरण प्रकट करते हुए किंवदंतियों और शिलालेख हैं। कुषाण, गुप्त, बैक्ट्रियन, इंडो-ग्रीक और इंडो-पार्थियन राजवंशों का हमारा ज्ञान मुख्य रूप से सिक्कों के अध्ययन से प्राप्त निष्कर्षों पर टिका हुआ है।
