what is latitudes?

  • Latitude is the angular distance between the equator and any point north or south of it on the surface of the earth. This distance is measured in degrees north or south of it on the surface of the earth. This distance is measured in degrees north or south of the equator. The angle of measurement is formed at the centre of the earth. 
  • All lines of latitude are drawn parallel to the equator and are, therefore, also called parallels. These lines are full circles which become smaller as we move closer to the poles (which are just points)

अक्षांश क्या है?

  • अक्षांश पृथ्वी की सतह पर भूमध्य रेखा और इसके उत्तर या दक्षिण में किसी भी बिंदु के बीच कोणीय दूरी है। यह दूरी पृथ्वी की सतह पर इसके उत्तर या दक्षिण में डिग्री में मापी जाती है। यह दूरी भूमध्य रेखा के उत्तर या दक्षिण में डिग्री में मापी जाती है। माप का कोण पृथ्वी के केंद्र में बनता है।

  • Longitude is the angular distance of a pint on the surface of the earth, measured in degrees east or west from the Prime Meridian. The angle of measurement is formed at the centre of the earth.

  • देशांतर की सतह पर देशांतर पिंट की कोणीय दूरी है, जिसे प्राइम मेरिडियन से पूर्व या पश्चिम में डिग्री में मापा जाता है। माप का कोण पृथ्वी के केंद्र में बनता है।
